Grandad's Garden

In memory of my grandad who passed away last week in Morrinsville, New Zealand.

I took these photos of his home garden the day before he passed.  Grandad's garden still has a great influence on my passion for the natural beauty of plants and love of neat rows and measured spacings in the vegie patch.

    Deep condolences to you and your family. Your granddad looks like a fit Waikato farmer in that picture. What a nice garden.

      Thanks David and Peter. He certainly was pretty fit almost until the end. He started life as a dairy farmer then moved on to managing factories. I'd almost forgotted how beautiful NZ is in the summer - the light is amazing and the green just takes my breath away every time.
